CATA names Bruce Donovan Director of Finance


The Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) has named Bruce Donovan its Director of Finance, effective March 25.

As Director of Finance, Mr. Donovan is responsible for CATA’s grants, procurement and capital pro- grams, as well as establishing and maintaining the Authority’s financial and accounting systems. He oversees development of the annual budget and risk management, ensures compliance with federal and state financial regulations, and advises CATA’s board of directors and staff on Authority financial matters.

Most recently, Mr. Donovan worked as a private consultant serving tank truck carriers in the areas of system management, operational process improvement, and profit and loss improvements. Past posi- tions include general manager of NECO Petroleum of Buffalo, NY; director of global fleet operations for DBI Services of Hazleton, PA; and, director of operations for CTL Transportation of Mulberry, FL. He has also served as a financial management officer in the United States Marine Corps and as a senior vice president for operations, internal audit department manager, and finance officer for various companies throughout his career.

Mr. Donovan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Accounting from Pembroke State University in Pembroke, NC, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.
