Benedict H. Dubbs, Jr., AIA, LEED AP joined the firm in 1984, became a principal in 2000 and President in 2016. A graduate of Millersville University, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts, Benedict also received his master’s degree in Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
He is passionate about sustainable design, adaptive re-use, diminishing urban sprawl, and bringing new life to warehoused buildings. His sustainable projects have won many design awards including The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) LEED Platinum and Passive House office addition received the 2020 Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Governors Environmental Excellence Award, the inaugural 2020 PA AIA COTE Design of Excellence Award, and multiple other accolades.
Benedict served as an adjunct professor in Harrisburg Area Community College’s Architecture Department and is involved in the Association of Independent College and University of Pennsylvania; Urban Land Institute; U.S. Green Building Council; and Preservation Pennsylvania.
