Benedict H. Dubbs, Jr., AIA, LEED AP joined the firm in 1984, became a principal in 2000 and President in 2016. A graduate of Millersville University, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts, Benedict also received his master’s degree in Architecture from Virginia Polytech­nic Institute.

He is passionate about sustainable design, adaptive re-use, dimin­ishing urban sprawl, and bringing new life to warehoused buildings. His sustainable projects have won many design awards including The Pennsylvania Hous­ing Finance Agency (PHFA) LEED Platinum and Passive House office addition received the 2020 Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Governors Environ­mental Excellence Award, the inaugural 2020 PA AIA COTE Design of Excellence Award, and multiple other accolades.

Benedict served as an adjunct professor in Harrisburg Area Community College’s Archi­tecture Department and is involved in the Association of Independent College and Uni­versity of Pennsylvania; Urban Land Institute; U.S. Green Building Council; and Preserva­tion Pennsylvania.
