Advantage Home Health Services

Amy Hancock received her Bachelors of Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She started her LTC journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1980. In just fifteen years, Hancock started two companies and has gone from employing one person in 2003 to over 700 people today.

Having enjoyed a successful career in sales and management for national contract therapy companies, Hancock decided to start her own company because she thought there was a better way to deliver contract therapy services to geriatric patients. Even with large, established contract therapy companies already serving the Western Pennsylvania market, from her experience in the industry and understanding of new challenges related to changing reimbursements, Hancock believed that a different approach could be successful. She founded AdvantageCare Rehabilitation in 2003. The company provides geriatric contract therapy services to long-term care and assisted living facilities located throughout Pennsylvania.

In 2006, Hancock founded Advantage Home Health Services, to extend Advantage’s benefits and reach to patients leaving long-term facilities in order to support their continued recovery at home with a wide range of nursing and therapy services. In 2017, Advantage Home Health services expanded into its fifth home health office with the purchase of Covenant Home Care & Hospice in Pottsville, Pa. The primary service objective across this company is to provide better service, better quality and better results, while maintaining the highest levels of integrity. Today Hancock has over 25 years of contract rehabilitation experience; as well as over 35 years’ experience in the nursing home industry.
