Top 100 People — CRITERIA

Nominees must be business people from the Pennsylvania Business Central coverage area or who work for organizations in the PBC coverage area. Our coverage area includes the following counties: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Huntingdon, Indiana, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Northumberland, Snyder, Somerset, Union and Westmoreland.

In addition, nominees must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Initiated/created a product, project or process that led to significant success at the company at which person works (record sales, record revenue, large increase in clients, new jobs added, etc.)
• Outstanding charitable/volunteer work
• Exceptional community involvement (member of school board, chamber of commerce, philanthropic society, etc.)
• Received awards at national, state and/or local level

All final decisions rest with the PBC editorial staff. Although we are aware that there are many deserving individuals, our final decisions are based to some extent upon maintaining a proportional representation of all 16 counties. Therefore, any information that can be provided for us will make the selection process that much easier.

Top 100 Businesses — CRITERIA

Nominees must be companies located in the Pennsylvania Business Central coverage area. Our coverage area includes the following counties: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Huntingdon, Indiana, Juniata, Lycoming, Mifflin, Northumberland, Snyder, Somerset, Union and Westmoreland.

In addition, nominees must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Initiated/created a product, project or process that led to significant success for nominated company (record sales, record revenue, large increase in clients, new jobs added, etc.)
• Outstanding charitable/volunteer work
• Exceptional community involvement (member of chamber of commerce, philanthropic society, industry organizations, etc.)
• Received awards a national, state and/or local level
• Celebrating milestone anniversary in business
• Serves an unusual or unique market or is the only business of its type in the area.

All final decisions rest with the PBC editorial staff. Although we are aware that there are many deserving companies and organizations, our final decisions are based to some extent upon maintaining a proportional representation of all 16 counties. Therefore, any information that can be provided for us will make the selection process that much easier.
