Conemaugh Health System announces Mercy Award Winners

Snowball Snowball JOHNSTOWN, PA – Conemaugh Health System recently announced the local Mercy Award winners for 2017. These employees have met the criteria for LifePoint’s High Five Guiding Principles. The four recipients are Cortney Snowball of the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Wendy Sechler of the Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center, Kevin Prazinko of the Conemaugh Miners Medical Center and Barbara Ritchey of the Conemaugh Nason Medical Center.

Snowball is described as a caring person who lights up her workplace. In addition to providing care to her patients, she is very active in the community. Her endeavors include teaching safety at St. Patrick’s, teaching with the Trauma team’s “Stop the Bleed” program and raising funds for the Peniel Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center.

Sechler works as the data Processor and PT secretary in patient registry. Wendy was described as the most selfless person at Conemaugh Meyersdale. She has helped organize fundraisers to help defray the cost of 4th of July fireworks in the community. She also volunteers at the Ron Yutzy Golf Scramble.

Sechler Sechler Prazinko is an RN in the ER at Conemaugh Miners. Kevin’s nominators wrote that Kevin makes an impression on everyone who comes into contact with him. Kevin has been a volunteer fireman since he was 12 years old. Ritchey has been working at Conemaugh Nason since 1973. She currently works as an administrative assistant in nursing. In her role as Nason’s liaison for the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE), she single handedly helped Conemaugh Nason achieve high honors of platinum status. She also serves as the United Way coordinator at Nason and coordinated several fundraising activities.
