The design is very modern and energy efficient providing modern conveniences such as a passenger loading bridge for efficient circulation, especially in inclement weather, updated passenger processing and security systems. Some other new features include a passenger baggage carousel, seating for 180 passengers in the Transportations Safety Administration’s “Secure Waiting Area” for outbound passengers and comfort facilities. Tenants in the new 30,000 gsf (gross square feet) building include a full-service travel agency, a car rental service and a “Grab and Go” food service in the lobby area. Benedict Dubbs, a Murray Associates Principal, oversaw the design and is proud to partner with the airport on this project that will enhance the Williamsport and surrounding communities.
