Echo Ultrasound was founded in Reedsville, Pa. in 1977 and was acquired by Philips in 1998. The company has a rich history of imaging innovation that leverages its decades of experience to create technological solutions to address challenges across the health continuum. Philips provides caregivers with the tools needed to get to patients sooner and help them live longer, healthier lives.

Philips’ broad range of ultrasound solutions continues to evolve, expanding applications and accessibility for users. Philips Ultrasound is most proud of its transducers for the Lumify ultra-mobile solution manufactured in Reedsville, a product that expands the use of ultrasound by delivering exceptional image quality on compatible smart devices. In 2016, Philips Ultrasound received the “Best in KLAS” award for its breadth of solutions and continues to build its portfolio with diagnostic, interventional, point-of-care and software products.

Philips Ultrasound is committed to putting user-friendly, cost-effective tools and solutions into the hands of caregivers across the world. Its Reedsville location has more than 400 employees and continues to expand to build next generation transducers for general imaging, cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology and point-of-care solutions. Reedsville employees volunteer and support charitable organizations such as United Way, Shelter Services, Rescue Our Furry Friends (ROFF) and Pink Connection.
