Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex

Est. 2011

The Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex is a state of the art, multi-purpose facility in the heart of Western Pennsylvania located in a Pinnacle Venue Services-managed facility on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The complex boasts 148,500 square feet of multi-use adaptable space in the 5,000-seat Ed Fry Arena, has 23,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, includes 650-seat Christine Toretti Auditorium and is home to the Crimson Hawks men’s and women’s Division II basketball and women’s volleyball teams.

Owned by IUP, the complex serves the region as an ideal venue for concerts, family shows, conventions, corporate seminars and sporting events. The Kovalchick complex is consistently moving forward in bringing new and exciting events to the residents of Indiana and surrounding communities. Over the past year, varieties of successful events have made stops at the Kovalchick Complex including Justin Moore, Alice Cooper, Mercy Me, Lee Brice the Bill Gaither Vocal Band and WWE Live. Recently working with local high schools to host the Inaugural Heritage Conference Basketball Championships, the Pinnacle Team with oversight by the IUP Administration Division have a vision of creating new opportunities to highlight IUP and the Kovalchick Complex. In 2016, the Kovalchick Complex hosted over 350 events with over 150,000 attendees visiting the facility and Indiana, Pa. for conferences and meetings.
