Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. provides civil engineering, surveying and environmental services to public and private sector clients including water and wastewater system engineering, roadway and bridge design, stormwater management, land development and site design and environmental permitting. The company was founded in 1962 on the belief that infrastructure like roadways and water systems play a pivotal role in making communities great.

Most recently the company completed a wastewater-to-energy treatment plant for the Milton Regional Sewer Authority with an innovative design that promotes economic development and expansion of manufacturing facilities while providing sustainability in protecting the community’s water supply and reducing the use of fossil fuel energy.

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. is dedicated to giving back to its community and holds an annual fundraising drive for the United Way, an organization that benefits each of its local regions. Each regional office of the company supports the various organizations in its community; the State College office, for example, supports the Food Bank and Mount Nittany Conservancy. A number of the staff members at the company graduated from the Leadership Centre County program, demonstrating the company-wide commitment to active civic participation.
