Curry Rail Services

Hollidaysburg
Est. 2014

Curry Rail Services (CRS) began its operation in Curryville, Pa. before moving into the former Hollidaysburg Car Shop in August of 2014. CRS has been supplying the railroad industry with products and services for more than 20 years.

Starting out supplying hoses and fittings and completing minor repairs then transitioning to in- house manufacturing, CRS has evolved into an industry leader in locomotive and freight car services. CRS is one of the few shops in the nation that is both ISO9001 and AAR M1003 certified, allowing the company to perform unlimited work to freight cars and locomotives. From manufacturing new industrial switchers to producing new freight cars, CRS has truly become a one-stop shop for the railroad industry. Located in the heart of Central Pennsylvania in a community with roots deep in the railroad industry, CRS is comprised of a dedicated team of professionals raising the bar of manufacturing quality products on time, every time.

On April 21, 2015, CRS passed an inspection by the Association of American Railroads Equipment Engineering Committee to receive the Conditional S-2034 Certification as a new freight car manufacturer. After a nearly thirteen year absence, freight car manufacturing has returned to the Sam Rea Shop in Hollidaysburg, Pa. Being such an important piece of history to Hollidaysburg, CRS has felt it surreal to watch the shop come back to life.

CRS takes great pride in creating new job opportunities for Blair County and giving back to the local organizations in need. They are committed to the safety of their employees, the surrounding community and the environment, while manufacturing products and providing services to meet the needs of railroad customers.
