Arbutus Park Retirement Community

Est. 1971

In 1903, the ministers of the United Evangelical Church held their first Bible Conference at what was known as the Arbutus Park Campgrounds. In 1961, the idea to create a continuing care retirement community on this land was born.

In 1971, ground was broken and in 1972, the Arbutus Park Apartments opened and the Arbutus Park Manor opened the following year.

Today, Arbutus Park Retirement Community is active and thriving. The community offers various senior living options including independent living cottages and the new Arbutus at Parker Ridge development featuring custom built one-level, maintenance-free living. They offer personal care, skilled nursing and a highly-rated Alzheimer’s and memory care facility “Crossroads.”

Over the years, Arbutus Park Retirement Community has reached out to the surrounding community through events such as their Senior Spirit Awards, which exists to recognize area senior volunteers.

Arbutus was named the winner of the Healthiest Employers Award in 2016 (category of 100-499 employees) and is very proud of the care it provides for its residents every day.
