Teresa Irvin McCurdy

President and CEO

TD Connections, Inc.

Teresa Irvin McCurdy is the president and CEO of TD Connections, Inc., a consulting firm that started out primarily as a government and public relations practice with a strong specialty in the energy sector but now specializes in utilizing connections with strong regulatory practice and business development for clients.

McCurdy attributes where she is today to being exposed to diverse learning experiences and her parents, who taught her a strong work ethic and persistence. She has had numerous legislative and regulatory successes where the direct effect of outcomes resulted in businesses being able to continue to employ Pennsylvanians. Her latest regulatory success was in helping a developing company get the permits needed to build a shopping plaza that will create over 1,000 jobs.

“I’m often asked why did I get into politics and the answer is always the same,” McCurdy said. “To help the underdog. Over the years, I have helped businesses get through government red tape to either start new companies, or keep their existing doors open so that they can provide good paying jobs to hundreds of Pennsylvanians.”

She recounts some of her most rewarding moments as the times she mentored college students by providing them “insight into what a lobbyist really does, despite the bad things people hear.”

“A dear friend of mine once said, ‘a good lobbyist is like a teacher,’” McCurdy said. “‘It is our responsibility to carry our client’s message to elected officials or government employees in the various state agencies who make the decisions.”

McCurdy is involved in many noteworthy organizations and attended Leadership Harrisburg. She is a board member of the Susquehanna Valley American Red Cross, is the vice chair for the Water Resources and Waste Management Committee for the Marcellus Shale Coalition and is the subcommittee chair for the Water, Waste Management and Recycling Committee for the Pa. Independent Oil and Gas Association.

Teresa currently resides in Cumberland County with her husband, Daniel, with whom she has four grown children.
