Claudia Williams

Chief Frientorship Officer and Founder

The Human Zone LLC

Claudia Williams founded The Human Zone after spending more than a decade as an attorney representing public, private and non-profit organizations. She is a speaker and author who also provides strategic, HR-based support aimed at transforming leaders and making great places to work.

Williams developed Frientorship, an individual and team development model that uses friendship, mentorship and leadership to bring out the best in leaders and build fully-engaged organizations. Immediately prior to starting The Human Zone, Claudia served as associate general counsel of global HR and litigation for The Hershey Company.

Claudia received the PBA 2015 Special Achievement Award in recognition of her pro bono commitment to veterans and first responders. She was named as one of the Central Penn Business Journal’s 25 Women of Influence and was selected for inclusion in the 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012 issues of Philadelphia Magazine’s Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Editions.

She serves as a member of the advisory board for The Salvation Army Greater Harrisburg, where she also co-chairs the Shoe Strut, an annual fundraiser for TSA.

Williams moved to Central Pa. from Upstate N.Y. As an outsider, she felt the appeal of her new home.

“Over the years, I noticed that people who grew up here and then moved away tend to return and reestablish themselves here. That speaks to the area’s appeal and offerings. There is so much opportunity here, whether that is the chance to work for a Fortune 500 company or to start your own business. People here genuinely want their friends and neighbors to succeed,” Williams said.
