Mount Nittany Health names new president & CEO

Rhine Rhine State College, PA – Kathleen L. Rhine has been named the new president and CEO for Mount Nittany Health, effective Jan. 30.

“The CEO search committee was diligent in finding the candidate with the right experience, leadership style and vision to continue advancing our outstanding health system while maintaining our tradition for excellent, patient-focused care,” according to a release.

Rhine most recently served as regional president and CEO with Presence Health, based in Chicago, where she held other executive-level positions during her six years working there including system chief administrative officer, system chief transformation officer and system senior vice president, patient and family-centered care.

“It’s my honor and privilege to join the team at Mount Nittany Health as president and CEO,” Rhine said. “Mount Nittany Health has an impressive legacy of growth and commitment to the communities it serves, and I look forward to working with the board, physicians, staff and community to continue to fulfill our mission to make people healthier.”

A Penn State graduate, Rhine earned her Bachelor of Science in health planning and administration from The Pennsylvania State University. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

She has held Board member appointments with several organizations, including local chapters of the American Red Cross, United Way, and other healthcare-related community groups where she has previously worked.
