Physician elected vice president of the PA Medical Society

Powers Powers Harrisburg, Pa – Danae Powers, MD, an anesthesiologist from State College and a native of Pittsburgh, was elected by her peers to serve as vice president of the Harrisburg- based Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED).

Powers will serve one year as vice president. Afterwards, she becomes president-elect for one year. In October 2018, she’ll take over as president of the statewide organization. Powers was elected to the position of vice president during the organization’s annual statewide meeting held this year in Hershey on Oct. 22, and begins her new position immediately.

A 20-year member of PAMED, she has served on its board of trustees since 2010. At PAMED, Powers has been a member on its Task Force on Continuous Professional Education, Committee on Subsidiary and Foundation Relations, and Council on Governmental Affairs.
