Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union
PSECU’s story began in 1934 when 22 state employees pooled $90 to start the credit union so they could have a better life for themselves and their families. Though it has grown to more than 400,000 members and more than $4 billion in assets, PSECU stays true to its founders’ goal of helping members achieve a better life.
No matter where in the state – or around the world – members live, they have access to low- or no-cost services and low-rate loans. Because of the Credit Union’s commitment to technology, they have access to their accounts when and where it’s convenient for them.
Though PSECU is headquartered in Harrisburg, they have selected the Centre County Region and State College in particular as the location for not only their call and data recovery center, but also their new financial center.
The Credit Union’s presence in State College goes beyond the physical locations. PSECU believes in supporting the region and has done so through sponsorships of the Central PA Festival of the Arts, Downtown State College Fall Festival, Centre County Heart Walk and Global Entrepreneurship Week. Like its members, PSECU employees live and work in Centre County, and that’s why the company has made a commitment to the Chamber of Business and Industry in Centre County and supports its 3B33 initiative.
