Juniata College

Est. 1876 / Huntingdon

Juniata College, a liberal arts undergraduate institution founded in 1876, has an enrollment of approximately 1,650 students.

Led by President James A. Troha, the college employs more than 400 people, including 100 full-time faculty members.

Juniata College uses its design-it-yourself program of emphasis and two-faculty-advisers system to produce graduates that can think critically, evolve into valued citizens and act surely and swiftly when facing challenges. The campus has transformed itself in the past 15 years, building a new residence hall, performing arts center and science center, while a new arts building and a $15 million investment in Juniata’s infrastructure and community are slated for 2016 and 2017.

The Chronicle of Higher Education has named Juniata College a “Great Place to Work” for the seventh time in eight years. Juniata College’s faculty, staff, students, and administration are active in many community organizations in Huntingdon County, often in leadership roles.
