Concurrent Technologies Corporation

Est. 1987 / Johnstown

Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is a perennial member (11 consecutive years) of the Top 100. As one of Cambria County’s largest employers, CTC is a major contributor to the region’s economy.

Established in 1987, CTC is an independent, nonprofit, applied scientific research and development professional services organization providing innovative management and technology-based solutions to government and industry. Together with its affiliates— Enterprise Ventures Corporation and CTC Foundation—the company leverages research, development, test and evaluation work to provide transformative, full lifecycle solutions.

Technical accomplishments distinguish the company. For example, in 2016 and 2013, CTC’s advanced technologies won prestigious Edison Awards. This year’s award recognizes CTC’s new SYLAS-R2, (System for Laundry and Shower Recycle-Reuse), which recycles 90 percent of grey-water generated by large companies, institutions or government sites. This environmentally friendly innovation can help conserve millions of gallons of water daily while reducing water and sewage fees.

In other national achievements over the past year, CTC was again named “One of the World’s Most Ethical Companies” by Ethisphere Institute and a “Best for Vets Employer” by Military Times. The company also won two awards from the National Safety Council.
