Beaver County Economic Development Partnership

Est. 2015 / Beaver

Late last year, the Beaver County Board of Commissioners joined forces with the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce, the Beaver County Corporations for Economic Development and the Beaver County Redevelopment Authority to form the new Beaver County Economic Development Partnership. The new partnership organization is also known as the 376 Economic Development Partnership, after the Interstate that passes through the county.

The partnership was authorized to facilitate and encourage cooperation in economic development efforts for the County of Beaver. The partnership can also be seen as a direct response to the potential Shell ethane cracker plant that is currently in development in Monaco.

To fund the new partnership, commissioners authorized the expenditure of up to $15,000 in County dollars in 2015 and up to $75,000 in 2016. Additionally, the Corporation for Economic Development has pledged $25,000 in support of this effort in 2016, the Chamber of Commerce has pledged $2,500 in 2016 and the redevelopment authority has pledged $1,000 in 2016.
