Submitting digital images

DPI: 170 (Dots Per Inch)
All image should be at least 170 dpi
Using too low a resolution for a printed image results in pixilation (large coarse-looking pixels)

Color mode: CMYK

File format: TIFF (Tagged-Image File Format) Is used to exchange files between applications and computer platforms.

When sending a press release do not embed the image into the word document. Always send the image as a TIFF file with the word document or send the two files separately. These images should be at least 2 1/2 inches wide.

Images to be included in a story should be at least 6 inches wide.

When using a digital camera always use the camera's highest quality setting. Using a lower quality will produce jaggy & crude images when printed. Always send the original image.
